Featured Project - POTW, Rotten Apple, (35mm & HD)
Writer/Producer & Production Designer
Rotten Apple

After negotiations we were very pleased when Molinaire announced that they would offer a complete post package and provide scanning and printing support taking us to 35mm which the Berlinale required. We also had Deluxe offer us a free colour grade.
Before going to the festival I then created a comprehensive P&A package to accompany the film in the interim sending off to a multitude of other worldwide festivals.
At the festival we were very happy to accept the Best Film PRIX UIP and also a European Academy Award nomination as well as a touring package that helped the film travel the world to 51 other festivals as part of the PRIX UIP. Rotten Apple also performed very well at other festivals worlwide winning further awards. The film is now part of the BFI Archive.
The feature project is still available for rights purchase and I am looking to develop the script in the future adapting the core story to relevant social audiences.
Synopsis:
On a lonely distant mountainside we witness a young boys tempestuous relationship with his father and his over zealous fascination with his fathers egregious new girlfriend. This leads to jealousy, resentment and murder, who will survive?

I Wrote, Produced and Designed this film after a commission from Film London East. Originally the commission was based on the theme of social rejection and was part of the Film London East selection for premiere at the London Film Festival 2007.
Although this film was completed and prmiered as required I decided to extend the scope of the film and create a more engaging story which I turned into a screenplay for a feature. This short film served as a promo for this feature. After completing a very intensive shoot on Hi Definition with a comprehensive 35mm lens package I then floated a rough cut to post houses and festival pre-admissions and was happy to receive an acceptance to the 57th Berlin Film Festival.
